Hospital Visits

On Thursday 12 and Friday 13, May 2022, you will have the possibility to visit the Stavanger University hospital and the SAFER (Stavanger Acute Medicine Foundation for Education and Research). The hospital visits are 15 EUR per visit, registration should have been done before the beginning of the congress via our registration platform. Bus transfer* will be organised from the Stavanger Forum and back.

 

Visit the Stavanger University Hospital:

Two different visits are possible in the Stavanger University hospital: you will be able to see either the Main Operation Room and the Central Operation Department, or you will have the opportunity to see the Day Surgery Department. Located in the neighborhood of Våland in Stavanger, Norway. Stavanger University Hospital is one of Norway’s largest hospitals with more than 7500 employees from over 30 nations and serves a population of 369,000 in Sør-Rogaland, from Hjelmeland in the north to Sokndal in the south. Stavanger University Hospital is owned by the regional health authority Helse Vest.

Visit the Stavanger Acute Medicine Foundation for Education and Research (SAFER):

This foundation and learning center has been established in collaboration between Stavanger University Hospital, the University of Stavanger, and Laerdal Medical AS. The purpose of the center is to strengthen emergency medical training and patient safety, primarily by stimulating the competence development of relevant personnel among the three initiators. The center will also conduct research and develop courses. SAFER is part of an active network collaboration with internationally leading medical simulation centers.
